This picture was taken in January this year. The temperatures then were the same as they are now.

Elk

Yesterday evening on the way home, I suddenly became aware of this cow elk with her two calfs. Standing there not disturbed by the cars giving me time to get the camera and change the lens. Because it was already getting dark I had to increase the ISO to have a chance to get it sharp.  The noice in the picture is therefore obvious.  Nevertheless, it was a nice moment.
